So, you have just onboarded a new supplier.
You’ve been diligent and verified all their details prior to setting them up in your Vendor Master File or ERP. You have checked their ABN and GST status. You’ve even undertaken a call-back to ensure the bank account information they provided you is accurate.
Job done…right? WRONG.
All you have done is verify that the information provided by your supplier was accurate at a single point in time.
But, as we know, things change.
